Yiaway Yeh serves as the Co-Chief Innovation Officer of Nashville and Davidson County Metro Government and since July 2013 has co-headed Nashville Mayor Karl F. Dean’s new Office of Innovation. His portfolio includes promoting open data, supporting Nashville’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, and creating interdepartmental-community partnerships. He was the former Mayor and a City Councilmember of Palo Alto, CA. Professionally, he has over a decade of experience in municipal operations, financial management, performance auditing, and consulting across several metropolitan regions around the country. Prior to his career in local government, Yiaway was a banker with Morgan Stanley and was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Burkina Faso. He holds an MPP from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and BA in Political Science from American University.
