Troy Ballard, Senior Managing Director, Cushman & Wakefield


Mr. Ballard joined Cushman & Wakefield as Senior Managing Director in 2016. He is a member of the South Florida Multifamily Capital Investments team that is led by Robert Given and includes Zachary Sackley and Calum Weaver. The team focuses on institutional and private owners in the sale of multifamily properties, developable land and structured equity finance in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Naples and throughout the state of Florida. The team has collectively closed more than $20 billion in transactions.

Since 2010, the team has also closed more than $1.6 billion in land and development sales including more than 20,000 units. Transactions include suburban land sites and high-density, mixed-use land that includes condominiums, apartments, retail and hospitality.

Ballard brings nearly two decades of multifamily development, operations, and brokerage experience to the team. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Ballard served as Senior Managing Director in ARA Newmark’s Boca Raton office, where he founded the firm’s South Florida Land Division. At ARA Newmark, he was lead broker on land transactions representing nearly 4,000 units with an expected development value of over $1 billion. Previously, he was a founding partner and President of TM Real Estate Group. Under Mr. Ballard’s guidance, TM Real Estate Group participated in the operations, management, acquisition or disposition of nearly 10,000 residential units and numerous land projects ranging from core infill to mixed-use and suburban sites.

Mr. Ballard also served as Senior Project Director at The Related Group of Florida, where he helped develop numerous residential and mix-use projects, including the award-winning CityPlace in West Palm Beach.


Mr. Ballard has a Professional Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture with minors in Real Estate Finance, Business Administration, and Art from the University of Miami. He continues to serve the University as a member of the Advisory Board of the schools Master of Real Estate Development + Urbanism program.
