Raised in Cambridge Bay, Fort Smith and Yellowknife, Shelley Gilberg is one of Canada’s leading experts in health care delivery systems.
Shelley joined IBM in the spring of 2008 and is currently the Canadian Leader for Healthcare and Vice President, responsible for IBM’s Global Business Services in BC Public Sector. Shelley still performs as an executive consultant in key areas such as complex governance, business case development, total cost of ownership, and transformation planning and execution.
Prior to joining IBM Shelley was a senior executive in the BC Government holding a variety of strategic, transformational, financial and operational senior executive portfolios including Transformation, Human Services, Crown Corporations, Shared Services, and Economic Development and Trade.
Shelley has also worked in the private sector as a management consultant and chief financial officer, and she began her career as a practitioner in health and human services and as an executive in non-governmental organizations.
Her executive roles were in Business Transformation, Finance, Labour Relations, Consulting, Public Policy, and Service Delivery, and she has held operational portfolios including Information Systems/Business Intelligence, Service Delivery, and Community Development.
