Scott Sheng assumed the position of Vice President, Bohai Commodity Exchange (BOCE) in April, 2014. BOCE is the largest spot-trading platform for commodities in China. It is the only non-banking business in China allowed to do cross-border RMB trading. In his new role at BOCE, Scott is endeavouring to take BOCE business to the global stage.
Since the relocation of his family from Shanghai to Vancouver in 2012, Scott has served as the Vice President, Asia for Evans & Evans, Inc, a Vancouver-based boutique investment banking firm, in which Scott helped advise Chinese and Canadian businesses on strategic, tactical and operational decisions.
Prior to the move to Vancouver, Scott was the Deputy General Manager and Secretary to the Board for Rockwell Graphic Systems Inc., a Fortune 500 multinational firm for over six years. He was also the Managing Director of CMF International Ltd., an active commodity trading firm based in Shanghai.
Scott obtained Master’s Degree in Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing from Shanghai Jiaotong University. Scott also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from University of Birmingham Business School in United Kingdom.
