Mark has over 29 years experience in the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Industry within Siemens Mobility Division. His responsibilities include business development and continue through the final execution of sales. Mark works with all Siemens Smart City Solutions, Connected Vehicle Applications, Active and Adaptive Traffic Management as well as custom software applications.
Prior to his role in sales, Mark participated in technical marketing as well as project management. These responsibilities included supervising deployment of a wide range of Siemens products and systems as well as project component cost and analysis. Mark’s experience included monitoring and expediting contract execution, coordination of project tasks, overall resource tracking, and project acceptance.
Mark began his career as a software developer. His primary work was in the design and development of real-time traffic management systems. Other areas of ITS system development experience included work with freeway incident detection algorithms, communications processing, detector data analysis, real-time command execution and traffic controller operation verification.
Mark’s management responsibilities included software development, systems integrations and systems support. Prior to Siemens, Mark was Program Manager for the Series 2000 Traffic Control System while employed at JHK & Associates / TransCore.
