As Business Growth Program Manager at ESL, Malik Evans spearheads efforts to create shared value through driving business growth in the Greater Rochester area. Shared value is a program that enhances company competitiveness while simultaneously solving economic and social problems in the community. Helping business owners become successful has been a major part of Malik’s life. He believes that talented entrepreneurs make our communities stronger and that a quality education paired with solid business acumen can transform our communities. Evans joined ESL with more than 12 years of banking experience. Prior to joining ESL, he served as a retail banking vice president for M&T Bank Corporation. Malik has extensive community service and leadership experience. He currently serves on the Rochester Board of Education where he holds the distinction of being the youngest person ever elected to the Board. He is a Board member of the Rochester Area Community Foundation, Catholic Family Center Board of Directors, Hope Hall Board of Directors, and he serves as a trustee on the Rochester Museum and Science Center Board. Malik is a native of Rochester, and he graduated from the University of Rochester.
