Dr. Mahesh Daas, Ed.D., DPACSA, is an award-winning designer, author, and serves as the Dean of the School of Architecture, Design & Planning at the University of Kansas, Lawrence. Daas holds a master’s degree in architecture from Kansas State University and an executive doctorate in higher education management from the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. He holds the honorific title of Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture distinguished professor and inducted as a perpetual member of the ACSA’s College of Distinguished Professors. He is the author of the book Leading with Aesthetics: The Transformational Leadership of President Charles M. Vest at M.I.T. (from Lexington Books) that presents a new and entrepreneurial approach to higher education leadership informed by frameworks from design, management, philosophy, political science, and psychodynamics.
