With over 15 years of professional experience, Kishore is an award-winning urban designer, strategist, innovator, teacher, and writer. His influential work in both the public and private sectors has shaped countless cities and communities locally, nationally and internationally.
Honored by the American Institute of Architects and the Urban Land Institute, Kishore’s work embraces emerging societal forces such as climate change, environmental consciousness, the sharing economy and innovation culture to create an unparalleled quality of urban life. From the rejuvenation of downtowns and waterfronts to master plans for innovation districts, urban institutions and neighborhoods to the design of large mixed-use projects, his nationally- and internationally-recognized work is a testament to the success of this forward-thinking approach to urban design. Kishore’s transformational work includes master plans for Masdar City’s Phase 2 neighborhood in Abu Dhabi, the Government Center Garage Redevelopment in Boston, MA, the NorthPoint neighborhood in Cambridge, MA and the Durham Innovation District in Durham, NC.
Kishore’s characteristic ability to understand the converging interests of residents, students, workers and visitors as well as government entities, technical consultants and developers allows him to design sustainable communities that fit seamlessly into the city, celebrating its people and their many unique perspectives. Kishore brings this innovative approach to community building to his work as the Director of Urban Design at CBT Architects and as a visiting critic at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Yale University and as an instructor at Roger Williams University.
Kishore holds a M.S. in Urbanism from MIT, a M.Arch from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a B.Arch from the School of Architecture and Planning at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad, India.
