Kim Briesemeister is a Principal with RMA, a management and consulting firm specializing in providing redevelopment, economic development, urban design, and real estate and marketing consulting.
On behalf of her public sector clients, Ms. Briesemeister negotiates major land development projects and public/private real estate deals, manages business attraction and retention efforts, develops and coordinates multi-million-dollar capital improvement projects. Ms. Briesemeister’s redevelopment work has spurred over $850 million in redevelopment activity and construction in downtowns and redevelopment districts. She has participated in the issuance of tax increment CRA revenue bonds in excess of $100 million.
Her firm also produces innovative urban design and economic development plans that transform areas into thriving communities. Her private sector clients include developers and builders seeking public/private partnerships with cities.
Ms. Briesemeister also spent twelve years in the Netherland Antilles in Curacao and Aruba. She was responsible for the redevelopment of the downtown area of Willemstad, Netherlands Antilles, and in Aruba she was Vice President of Marketing for META Corp., owners of a mega resort that included hotel, casino and retail operations.
Ms. Briesemeister has been a guest speaker and has received numerous awards from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), International Downtown Association (IDA) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI). She serves on IDA’s Implementing Private-Partnerships Council, is on the Advisory Board of the University of Miami’s Real Estate Development and Urbanism program and she is Past-President of the Florida Redevelopment Association (FRA).
