John Campagna is the Vice President of Partnership Development for Corvias Solutions. In this role he focuses on public sector partnership opportunities across the country and works with local and county governments to understand the complex challenges they face and develop partnership structures that provide long-term, sustainable solutions. Mr. Campagna has more than 30 years of experience addressing the social, environmental and economic needs of public partners within the financial and developer communities. Most recently, he served as Managing Partner for Restore Capital, a company he founded to create private investment strategies to restore our environment and enhance the economy. There he focused on environmental restoration and economic development, including P3 strategies geared toward meeting Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) requirements, upgrading water infrastructure and installing mitigation practices around the Chesapeake Bay.
Mr. Campagna has spoken at many conferences on Impact Investing & Environmental Markets, published articles on his activities and strategies, and remains active within his professional and local community. He advised Environmental Defense Fund, and Chesapeake Bay Foundation on policy and legislation regarding clean water markets and financing. He also has been a member of Ecotrust’s panel on Community Fisheries, the State of Maryland’s Ecosystem Markets Taskforce and endowment committee for the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club helping execute some of the first land easement tax credit sales. His local community activities include being an advisor for Interfaith Partners of the Chesapeake, a taskforce chair for West Virginia Food and Farm Coalition, former Market Master at DC’s Dupont Circle Farmers Market, co-chair of Episcopal Diocese of Maryland’s “Green” committee, and President Emeritus of Baltimore Green Works.
