Dr. Joel Frater is the Executive Dean at Damon City Campus, Monroe Community College. He previously served as Assistant Provost for Diversity at the College at Brockport, and an American Council on Education Fellow at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Frater serves on the Boards of the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation, GreenTopia and the High Falls Business Association. He has conducted staff development training for employees in various Caribbean resorts. His research interests are the impact of tourism, particularly in the Caribbean region, and the development of culturally-responsive training modules for employees in the tourism and hospitality industry. He holds his doctorate in tourism administration from Temple University, PA.
