Jake Gordon is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Downtown Vision Inc. (DVI), the business improvement district non-profit in Downtown Jacksonville, Florida. Funded from an assessment of commercial property owners, DVI has a mission to make Downtown Jacksonville a better place to live, work, visit and invest.
Mr. Gordon came to Jacksonville from Camden, New Jersey where he was Vice President at Cooper’s Ferry Partnership (CFP), the citywide economic development corporation, as well as Executive Director of the Camden Special Services District (CSSD), Camden New Jersey’s business improvement district.
Prior to moving to Camden, Jake worked for three years as an associate attorney for O’Melveny & Myers LLP in Los Angeles, guiding major clients through large-scale litigation.
He received his Juris Doctorate from University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2003 and his Bachelors of Arts from University of California, San Diego in 1999.
Mr. Gordon is Vice Chair of Urban Land Institute’s national Public Private Partnership Product Council as well as a member of ULI North Florida’s Advisory Board. He also serves on the membership committee of the International Downtown Association (IDA) and the board of directors of The Florida Theatre, a historic entertainment venue in Downtown Jacksonville.
