David is an architect with more than 20 years’ experience designing for healthcare, sports, higher education and corporate clients. As design lead for NBBJ’s UK practice, David is acutely aware of the importance of communicating design clearly and strives for distinctive functional solutions which promote a better way of living and working.
David is especially interested in how positive planning and design can enhance the city’s health and wellbeing. He is leading the design of Liverpool’s new hospital which will benefit and support the city’s regeneration, demonstrating how considered design can impact both a city and its population’s health.
The NBBJ London studio has recently relocated to City Road in order to be closer to major transport terminals with better access to clients, both in London and the wider UK. Tech City in particular was a draw and David and the team are keen to integrate with the new community and understand the successes and pressures the area’s phenomenal growth is creating.
As a born and bred Londoner, David is fascinated by the city’s evolution. David studied architecture at the University of Westminster and has worked in London, Cambridge and Australia. He joined NBBJ in 2009 and leads the UK practice.
