Colleen is the Executive Director of the Calgary Regional Partnership (CRP) Incorporated (CRP).
For the past 10 years Colleen has directed the development of the Partnership’s flagship initiatives including the Calgary Metropolitan Plan (CMP) and it’s companion the Calgary Regional Transit Plan. The CMP guides growth associated with the forecasted 1.8 million new residents and 800 thousand new jobs to the region.
Colleen works closely with a board of 12 Municipal Mayors and Council Members from across the region including the City of Calgary. She collaborates with a wide range of municipal, industry and citizen stakeholders and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Bow River Basin Council.
Colleen actively collaborates with other Metropolitan Regions in Canada and abroad. She has a passion to support the efforts of emerging regions and is co-leading an emerging Network of Canadian Metropolitan Regions focused on collaborating to compete.
Prior to her role with the CRP, Colleen worked with municipalities on the West Coast of British Columbia to create sustainability plans for community adaptation and resiliency in the face of the rapid decline in the resource-based economies they historically depended upon.
