brad (63)_cropped2Since arriving at Edmonton Economic Development Corporation in August 2012, Brad Ferguson has reoriented the City-owned agency towards growing Edmonton’s culture of entrepreneurship, innovation and competitiveness.

After a tenure at Procter & Gamble, Brad started Strategy Summit which emerged as a leading strategy and public policy consultancy that was at the heart of Alberta’s economic and innovation agenda over the past 10 years — from nano, micro, bio, information and communications technology, to agricultural research, financial services and the Premier’s Council for Economic Strategy, Brad has served the province by having the courage to push forward progressive thinking amidst the fear of complacency.

Over the years, he has been a director on such boards as Startup Edmonton, TEC Edmonton, Edmonton Symphony Society/Winspear Centre for Music, TELUS World of Science Edmonton, Alberta Ingenuity Fund and Rural Alberta Development Fund.

But more than anything, Brad loves working with his kids, and you can often find him coaching minor hockey, or still playing a competitive game himself.
