Ann Pappert was selected as Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Guelph in September 2011.
With more than 20 years’ experience in municipal government and the broader public sector, primarily within community services portfolios at the executive level, she was the City’s Executive Director of Community and Social Services prior to becoming CAO. Before joining the City of Guelph, Ms. Pappert served in increasingly senior municipal roles in Windsor, Kingston and Kitchener, and Surrey, B.C.
Known for promoting collaboration and innovation across municipal government emphasizing sound fiscal and organizational management practices and citizen-focused services, Ms. Pappert is an open, decisive and principled professional. She believes in fostering innovation in local government to achieve Council’s directions for current and future needs of residents and businesses – always pressing for high quality results.
Ms. Pappert holds a Master in Public Administration from the University of Western Ontario and completed the Municipal Administration Program offered by the Association of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario.
